Tasty Tuesday: Blueberry Cream Cheese Bars

This is a yummy recipe for blueberry cream cheese bars with a shortbread crust. There is a bit of prep work involved, but it is well worth the effort! These are great for just about any occassion and you can use whatever type of berries you prefer – strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc. Enjoy!

Frugal Friday: How to Get Wax out of Clothing

We’ve probably all been there. You have a new outfit (or maybe just one of your favorites) on and then it happens – you get something on it. No matter what it is, it puts quite a damper on your mood. Luckily there are solutions to get many of these nasty stains out.

Rewind to a few weeks ago. My husband got a great new pair of dress pants on a huge sale. The first time he wears them ihe gets candle wax on the leg of his new pants. Needless to say, neither of were thrilled. I knew I — Read the rest

Tasty Tuesday: Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip

Here’s an easy recipe that combines all the things you love about buffalo chicken wings but in a much easier and less messy form. If you love wings, you’ll love this dip. It’s best served warm with tortilla chips or celery sticks. It’s always a hit at parties and we love to have it for a snack.

Tasty Tuesday: Bacon Wrapped Chicken Stuffed with Apples

A really great and different way to cook chicken – and it helps you “sneak” in some fruit, if you find it hard to get your family to eat fruit. It was a hit in my house, and I will definitely be making this recipe again!

Frugal Friday: Don’t Throw Away Those Bananas!

We always have bananas in our house, and we usually eat them. But there are inevitably times when they start to brown before we eat them. I hate throwing food away, but I just don’t always have the time or energy to go through all the work of making homemade banana bread (though I have no problem saving those bananas and giving them to my dad to make it – his is the best!).
